Variance is requested in order to construct a primary dwelling with attached garages located on their property known as Tax Map No. 26I-1-2 on Queenstown Road (VSH 655), Lancaster, VA 22503 in District 1.
Ronald A. Haafke & Heidi S. Haafke, of 108 Kimberly Drive, Hanover, PA 17331, request a variance from Part I – Zoning Ordinance, Article 5-3 – Setback Regulations, of the Lancaster County, Virginia Land Development Code from the setback distance requirement of 75ft. from the centerline from the street or road right of way. Owner requests a 50ft. setback distance from the centerline of Tidewater Point Lane. Variance is requested in order to construct a primary dwelling and a pole barn on their property known as Tax Map No. 15-120N located on Tidewater Point Lane off Avis Trail which is off Mary Ball Road (VSH 3) located in District 2.

Electronic Participation Meetings are conducted in a Zoom webinar format in which the board members and certain members of County staff ("panelists") may be visible on camera and will be able to speak, while the press corps and members of the general public ("attendees") will be placed in a "view-only/listen-only" participation mode.
When applicable (depending on the type of meeting being conducted), members of the public who wish to state their comments or questions must ask to be recognized by clicking the "Raise Hand" button near the bottom of the Zoom interface window. Telephone callers will be able to raise their hands by pressing *9 on their telephone keypad. Upon being unmuted, citizens should provide their name and district in which they reside and then state their question or comment.
Inappropriate or offensive comments or language will result in immediate dismissal from the meeting.
