New Format for Access to Public Meetings
Lancaster County is implementing an Agenda Management System for public meetings of the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Wetlands Board and various other boards and commissions which will improve access to public meetings and related documentation.
Public access to this new system is facilitated by a new web site which will serve as a Public Meeting Portal. The new site will host live streams of current meetings and provide access to all meeting-related information including schedules, agendas and supporting documentation for upcoming meetings and minutes and indexed video recordings of previous meetings.
All meetings are currently being live streamed. The full agenda book and meeting minutes capabilities will be phased in gradually, starting with the Board of Supervisors.
Citizens may also view meeting live streams and video recordings of previous meetings directly from County's new YouTube Channel.
As it has for the past several months, Lancaster County will continue to offer access to public meetings as Zoom webinars to allow its citizens to interactively participate in public hearings and public input sessions. The Zoom webinars will be the only means available to the citizens of Lancaster County for remote electronic public participation during these meetings. Live streams will be strictly view only/listen only. Access instructions for Zoom webinars will be posted on this website in the days leading up to scheduled meetings.

Changes to Lancaster County Government Web Site
On Friday, November 22, 2019, county administration staff began the process of updating the Lancaster County, Virginia local government web site. Most of the changes made to date involve cosmetic changes and a rearrangment of a few navigational links on the site's front, or home page. Specifically, the links formerly located in a content box titled "Featured Content & Services" may now be accessed from a pull down menu on the right edge of the page titled "Find It Fast - How Do I...". The links have been arranged as a series of questions to resemble a list of frequently asked questions. One would click or tap in the title bar of this section to expand (drop down) the list.
